Thank you to the ACS PRF!

We are excited to have received support from the American Chemical Society Petroleum Research Fund! The ACS PRF is an endowed fund that supports fundamental research directly related to petroleum or fossil fuels at universities. Intended as seed money, the ACS PRF aims to enable an investigator to initiate a new research direction through financial support.

The Alty Group has received a Doctoral New Investigator (DNI) award from the ACS PRF. The DNI award provides start-up funding for Assistant Professors who are within their first three years. The DNI grants program seeks out original, fundamental research to support the petroleum field and works to develop the next generation of engineers and scientists. In our group, the DNI award will be devoted to leveraging fundamental organic chemistry to develop new polymerization strategies.
