Hiring a postdoc!

Are you interested in learning more about probiotics in the human microbiome? Do you have experience synthesizing small molecules and macromolecules, like polymers? Apply to join the Alty Group as a postdoctoral associate!

The Alty Group is looking for a highly motivated scientist who will join the first cohort of graduate students this year. In addition to being a creative chemist, we also expect the individual to be a kind, community-oriented lab citizen. Though the group is at the interface of biological, organic, and polymer chemistries, we do not expect anyone to join the group as a master of each discipline; we only expect that the individual is interested in becoming an expert in working in this interdisciplinary arena.

Application review will begin on November 21st. If selected, the interview process will include a 1:1 Zoom meeting with Dr. Alty as a first round of interviews and an in-person interview with the Alty Group at Stony Brook University as the final round of interviews.
