Congratulations to lab member, Ajay Raju, for winning the Dr. Kenneth M. Nicholas Undergraduate Fellowship!  The Dr. Kenneth M. Nicholas Undergraduate Fellowship awards $5,000 to support undergraduate summer research. Ajay won the fellowship specifically associated with the Chemistry department for his work in the Alty group.

This award annually recognizes an outstanding Undergraduate Research and Creative Activities (URECA) summer research applicant in the field of chemistry. The fellowship is sponsored by Dr. Kenneth M. Nicholas and his wife, Sacra N. Nicholas. Dr. Nicholas graduated from Stony Brook University in 1969  and is now an emeritus faculty member at the University of Oklahoma. Pivotal to his career was his undergraduate research experience in the Department of Chemistry preceding his senior year.

We are excited to see what the summer has in store for Ajay's research, thanks to the support of the URECA and the Nicholas family!
